What's Hot this November

Powerco Taranaki Garden Festival

The Powerco Taranaki Garden Festival kicked off last week and the West End Precinct hub was abuzz with locals and visitors off to see the gardens, umbrellas in hand. Despite the weather, it didn’t seem to dampen the visitors' experience, many taking a break and enjoying a much-deserved coffee in the hart of the city.

Real Estate Hot Tips!

Angela Maindonald of Robert Angus Real Estate HOT TIPS this month is about getting your house interior and exterior open home ready. With spring in the air and the warmer weather just around the corner spring is the perfect time to sell and moving into summer the gardens and lawns look no better than what they do now. So if you're in the market to sell or hosting open homes be sure to follow these tips.
  1. Ensure a clean entrance as it’s the first thing a potential buyer will see. Remove leaves, neglected pot plants. Plant some Pansies in a tub to add a burst of spring colour.
  2. Kitchens and bathrooms sell houses, a wonderful market adage. Clean them from top to toe and make them sparkle. Clean the cupboards and make sure all the handles are securely fixed.
  3. Make sure your lawn is freshly mown and a well-kept weeded garden greatly assists in creating that all important first impression.
